Each and every process in this multiverse or beyond works according to a pattern, with certain rules, within limits. Many of these laws are interpreted by humans explaining their working. In fact, many phenomenon are predicted on the basis of that. But their very existence is still a question, yeah, I know there's a theory known as Big Bang Theory but it's still have a lot to prove and the particle in which that explosion occurred is still a big question.
